Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather correct information to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
• Check paperwork to ensure orders are complete with diagnosis and requested tests.
• Obtain identification and insurance information during registration.
• Know outpatient vs inpatient registration requirements.
• Help maintain department benchmarks by notifying Supervisor when supplies are needed.
• Forward injury reports to appropriate agencies as needed.
• Request cash co-pays, deposits and payments from patients.
• Provide accurate receipts for payment transactions.
• File department paperwork per guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
