Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a patient-facing healthcare or customer service role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule appointments with attention to policies and accuracy.
• Complete pre-registration and verify demographics/insurance information.
• Verify insurance, benefits, and referrals.
• Validate patient identity and coverage prior to services.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy standards.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through care processes.
• Provide appointment and payment policy information.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and discuss payment plans.
• Communicate financial obligations and collect payments per guidelines.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve issues.
• Notify relevant staff about appointment details and authorization requirements.
• Train other patient services staff and uphold service excellence.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
