Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to gather demographic and insurance information for registration.
• Establish the patient medical record.
• Provide notices and required forms (e.g., HIPAA, Patient Rights).
• Obtain authorizations, certifications, and referrals from insurance companies.
• Identify patient financial responsibilities and collect payments.
• Liaise between patients and the healthcare organization.
• Explain policies and direct patients to appropriate services.
• Ensure confidentiality of resident information.
• Support hospital policies and mission.
