Job summary

Community Hospital is hiring a Full Time Patient Access Rep with a $500 Sign On Bonus. The role focuses on accurate patient registration, benefits verification, and collecting payments at the point of service.

You will work with a team to ensure a smooth check-in experience, pre-register patients in a timely manner, and uphold HIPAA confidentiality while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; 2 years college preferred.
• Experience in patient registration and verification in a medical center or similar setting.
• Ability to type 40 WPM and enter data accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• HIPAA knowledge and confidentiality are required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and collect payments.
• Verify benefits for non pre-registered patients.
• Obtain signatures on required forms.
• Pre-register scheduled patients 3 business days in advance.
• Coordinate with physician offices, schedulers and hospital departments.
• Maintain cash receipts and balanced cash at all times.
• Provide front desk reception support as needed.
