Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking Patient Representatives to support patient access across facilities. You will greet patients, collect demographics and insurance data, verify eligibility, and schedule appointments while explaining financial options and collecting payments.

Strong emphasis on HIPAA, accuracy, and revenue cycle impact; weekend standby rotations may apply for ED teams. Previous customer service experience is required and Medical Terminology/CPT/ICD-10 knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding strongly preferred.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM, basic ten key, and Windows environment.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and collects payments.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; gather demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility using online systems and schedule appointments.
• Provide patients with financial information, price estimates, and collect payments.
• Enter physician orders and other required forms; ensure accuracy of data.
• Communicate appointment information for multiple facilities and departments.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and payer guidelines.
