Job summary

Bronson Healthcare Group's BMH ED is seeking a Part Time Patient Representative for the 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM shift. The role ensures smooth patient access by greeting and registering patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, verifying coverage, scheduling appointments, and providing financial information and price estimates to patients.

The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience, knowledge of HIPAA, and strong attention to detail, with basic computer skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous customer service experience is required.
• Medical Terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding experience is strongly preferred.
• Basic typing at 45 WPM, basic ten key, and computer skills in Windows.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Verifies insurance eligibility using online systems.
• Provides and completes required patient forms.
• Collects and enters payments, follows balancing procedures.
• Analyzes, interprets and enters physician orders.
• Schedules and communicates appointment information for multiple facilities.
