Job summary

Bronson Healthcare Group is seeking a Part-time Patient Representative (PRN) to support patient access across facilities. The role involves greeting and registering patients, collecting demographics and insurance data, and handling billing information with accuracy.

Responsibilities include verifying eligibility, scheduling, collecting payments, and communicating with patients about balances and payment options. A strong customer service mindset and HIPAA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle components and its impact on patient care.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and/or registers patients accurately and efficiently.
  • Verifies insurance eligibility using online systems.
  • Provides and/or completes required patient forms.
  • Collects and enters payments, follows balancing procedures.
  • Schedules and communicates appointment information accurately for multiple facilities.
  • Verifies insurance for scheduled and urgent emergent patients and obtains authorization as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality in communication and documents.
  • Identifies financial counseling needs.
