Job summary

Mercy Health Irvine Primary Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and the community. This role focuses on patient registration, demographics verification, insurance collection, and scheduling while delivering excellent customer service.

The position supports multiple locations as needed and requires strong communication, accuracy in data entry, and basic billing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient registration or front-desk healthcare roles preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to verify insurance and collect patient payments.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as the primary point of contact for the practice.
• Register patients, verify demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Schedule appointments and enter scheduling data into the computer system.
• Explain financial options to patients and collect payments as needed.
• Assist patients with MyChart and refer to financial counselors when required.
• Maintain and file patient charts and support front-desk workflows.
