Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Guest Screening Services Representative for a 3-month assignment with potential extension. You will greet, screen, badge, and assist patients and visitors across UCSF Health entrances, delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires coordinating with Security and Transport, providing curbside assistance, and upholding UCSF Health policies and PRIDE values while ensuring a welcoming experience for all guests.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to multitask in a busy hospital environment.
• Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality to protect patient information.
• Willingness to work variable hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus for patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen patients and visitors to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Verify completion of electronic health screening or conduct in-person screening when needed.
• Check in patients and visitors and verify clearance on the approved visitor list.
• Provide masks and hand gel, and assist with stroller/ wheelchair movement as required.
• Assist with badging and escort duties as directed by leadership.
• Coordinate with Security and Transport for safe patient movement and transport as needed.
• Support and model UCSF PRIDE values in daily interactions.
• Communicate delays or issues to the front office and care teams.
