Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related healthcare experience.
• Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.
• Ability to provide wheelchair and walking escort service for patients.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to patients with various outward manifestations of illness or injury.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
• Preferred qualification: Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen patients and visitors to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Verify health screening status and perform in-person screening when needed.
• Check in patients and visitors by matching IDs to the approved lists.
• Dispense surgical masks and provide hand gel to patients and guests.
• Provide cross-coverage and assist in waiting areas as scheduled.
• Escort guests and assist with safe movement when needed.
• Communicate needs to leadership and assist with referrals as required.
• Advocate for patients and communicate delays to staff.
