Job summary

UCFS Healthcare is seeking a Patient Solution Specialist to provide courteous and professional customer service to callers, clients, patients, and visitors. The role handles incoming calls, conducts initial intakes, and provides information about UCFS services to help people access care.

You will use training and experience to assist individuals and families with accessing community resources, including health services, social determinants of health assessments, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience in a call center or healthcare setting.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EHR systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Operates a multi-line telephone system, answering and transferring calls.
• Provides courteous and professional service about UCFS Health Center services.
• Follows proper call handling procedures for efficient resolution.
• Conducts initial client intakes and enters demographics/insurance into EHR.
• Performs insurance verifications for initial intake appointments.
• Provides SDOH assessment support and referrals.
• Establishes patient communication plans and follow-up activities.
