Job summary

Childrens Hospital Colorado is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to provide registration, scheduling and high-level customer service to patients and families. The role supports insurance management, demographic data collection and appointment coordination with flexible PRN shifts.

On-site positions float between Wheat Ridge and Uptown, with day/evening shifts and required holiday/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• An associate or bachelor's degree may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient registration, scheduling, greeting, directions, check-in/out support.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department policies and procedures.
• Provides customer service to patients, families, physicians and others.
• Supports health insurance management: collecting insurance information, payment method, financial responsibility; may include referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Explains benefits and costs by creating estimates of financial responsibility.
• Obtains signatures for treatment consent; understands access policies and consent collection.
• Obtains and documents patient demographic information.
• Receives calls to schedule appointments and route calls.
• Performs data entry in medical records system.
• Conducts patient and family rounding for comfort.
