Job summary

Summit Orthopedics is seeking a Clinic Patient Registration Specialist to provide initial access for clinic and urgent care patients, greeting and registering them, verifying information, and scheduling follow-ups. The role is full-time at the Eagan campus with a 7:30–5:00 schedule and potential coverage at Eden Prairie and Lakeville.

You will collect insurance information, process co-pays, coordinate interpreters, and support Revenue Cycle teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in healthcare or a medical office.
• Basic computer proficiency and speed (data entry).
• Medical reception or scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients, collect needed medical and demographic information, and process payments.
• Prepare next day patient charts and distribute mail and faxes.
• Coordinate with teams/providers to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Manage patient records and imaging CDs and obtain proper authorization.
• Assist with rescheduling when providers schedules change.
• Keep the patient lobby accessible, neat and orderly.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, teams, providers and staff.
