Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of healthcare scheduling experience.
• Experience with scheduling software and EHR systems (Epic preferred).

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and tests.
• Communicate appointment details and prep instructions to patients.
• Enter, update, and verify patient information in the EHR.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to optimize provider schedules.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding scheduling.
• Monitor waitlists, cancellations, and no-shows to maximize resource use.
• Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and standards in all communications.
• Identify and escalate scheduling conflicts to the appropriate personnel.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives related to patient access.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
