Job summary

Conifer Health, part of the Tenet family, seeks a Patient Access representative for Detroit Receiving Hospital, evening shifts 3p-11p. Responsibilities include scheduling, registration, pre-admission and admission, collecting patient demographics, and applying compliant liability collection.

You will explain hospital forms, scan PHI, support scheduling, verify insurance, benefits, eligibility, obtain authorizations, and coordinate post-discharge care when needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year in a customer service role.
• 0-1 year administrative experience in medical facility/health insurance preferred.
• Some college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, register at date of service, explain forms, scan PHI.
• Educate patients on financial liabilities and collect payments per policy.
• Verify insurance, benefits, eligibility, obtain authorizations, and coordinate post-discharge care.
