Job summary

CentraCare Willmar Clinic is hiring a Patient Access Assistant. You will verify patient and insurance information, schedule appointments and assist in producing billable patient accounts.

This full-time role requires strong customer service and communication skills, with 1–2 years in clerical or healthcare scheduling preferred.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and a steady schedule with occasional weekend rotation, supporting smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• 1–2 years post high school training in clerical/secretarial/business preferred but not required.
• 1 year of scheduling, billing, patient access, AR and/or collections in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments.
• Obtain and identify information necessary to produce billable patient accounts.
• Perform registration duties and be the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
• Exercise independent analysis and apply facility procedures as needed.
