Job summary

CentraCare is seeking a Patient Access Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, performing registration duties within the hospital and clinic. The role requires independent analysis and knowledge of facility procedures, including verifying patient and insurance information and scheduling appointments.

This full-time position in St. Cloud offers day shifts, with hours 6:30am–5:30pm on weekdays and occasional Saturday rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year clerical, administrative, or customer service experience; OR 1 year of prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience.
• Customer service skills are essential.
• Good verbal and written communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and visitors and verify patient and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and obtain/identify information for billable patient accounts.
• Perform registration duties within hospital and clinic and understand facility procedures.

This role requires independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. You will be responsible for verifying patient and insurance information, scheduling appointments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts and more!

Schedule:

• Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud
• Day shift | working hours between 6:30am-5:30pm Monday - Friday
• Occasional Saturday rotation working 8am-4pm as needed

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay begins at $19.91 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience
