Job summary

The Remedy is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to support patient intake and scheduling, ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers and assisting with coordination of services.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing appointments, updating patient records, and coordinating with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming and make outgoing patient phone calls with exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments with healthcare providers, ensuring accurate booking and efficient use of provider time.
• Conduct initial patient screening and gather information to determine service type and route calls accordingly.
• Pre-screen new patients for initial assessment information for proper processing.
• Answer inquiries, troubleshoot basic issues, and provide patient information.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records in the system, capturing scheduling details.
• Escalate calls to supervisor when appropriate.
• Obtain and accurately capture demographic and health insurance information as needed.
• Utilize Outlook, Teams, 8X8, Advanced MD, Monday.com and other systems to coordinate patient care.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure patient needs are fully met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
