Job summary

US Eye seeks a Patient Access Center Representative to join the newly formed US Eye Patient Access team. You will be the first point of contact, assess patient needs, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries via phone.

The role requires staying friendly and calm in a high call-volume environment to deliver an exceptional patient experience. The candidate should have a high school diploma with customer service or call center experience, be tech-savvy with Office Suite, and able to learn

Qualifications

  • High school graduate, with previous experience in a customer service role or call center.
  • Technology savvy, with competency in Office Suite and ability to learn software applications as required.

Responsibilities

  • Answers and triages incoming calls in a high-volume setting in a courteous and highly professional manner.
  • Responds to incoming appointment requests via email, Phreesia and other paths.
  • Manages phone queue with the contact center team to respond to patients efficiently.
  • Accurately schedules appointments according to practice templates and protocols.
  • Obtains patient demographic, clinical and insurance information and enters it in the PM system.
  • Learns medical knowledge regarding scheduling, surgical and clinical protocols.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and supports HIPAA requirements.
  • Establishes partnerships to provide accurate information to patients.
