Job summary

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital is seeking a patient registration specialist to be the first point of contact for families. You will verify insurance, schedule appointments and help resolve billing questions with empathy and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls courteously and assists or routes inquiries.
• Relays messages and protects patient confidentiality.
• Handles outbound calls for referrals, records, waitlists.
• Registers patients and updates scheduling system.
• Verifies and creates subscriber information in the system.
• Files and retrieves medical records as requested.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and provides parent forms.
• Identifies guardian to complete accounts.
• Supports accurate claim submission and code review.
• Maintains patient privacy and professional conduct.
• Balances end-of-day financials and reports to Finance.
