Job summary

Temple Health Chestnut Hill Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support patient registration, scheduling, and customer service. The PAR will interact with patients, families and staff in a friendly, helpful manner, handling related clerical duties and ensuring timely processing of all tasks in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR GED – Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
• 1 year experience in Patient Access
• General Experience with and Knowledge of insurance requirements, insurance verification, and 3rd party billing

Responsibilities

• Patient registration, scheduling, customer service and clerical support
• Accepting, recording and verifying insurance information
• Processing preauthorization requests
• Collecting copays and account balance payments
• Scanning documents into EMR and other administrative tasks
