Overlake Hospital Medical Center in the Puget Sound region is seeking a Customer Admissions Clerk to greet and orient patients and visitors, interview for demographic and financial data, and complete registration quickly and accurately. The role requires strong service orientation and the ability to handle payments and signatures while explaining hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in medical admissions/registration or frontline customer contact.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to interview, educate and advise patients about policies.
• Knowledge of insurance payers and hospital finances is a plus.
• Typing speed of 50 WPM and 10-key accuracy is expected.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient patients and visitors to the hospital.
• Interview patients for demographic and financial data for registration.
• Complete registration accurately and promptly.
• Collect payments and obtain required signatures.
• Explain hospital regulations, policies and services.
• Support other duties as assigned by the department.
