Job summary

Overlake Medical Center is seeking a full-time Admitting/Registration Specialist in Bellevue. You will greet patients and visitors, collect demographic and financial data, complete registrations accurately and efficiently, and explain hospital policies.

The role requires strong customer service, knowledge of insurance concepts, and the ability to type 50 WPM with 10-key. Work in a fast-paced team environment with day shift responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Formal training in medical terminology, hospital finance and customer relations a plus.
• Previous admission/registration experience or frontline customer contact in a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated customer service skills; able to interview, educate and advise patients on hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient patients and visitors to the hospital.
• Interview patients for demographic and financial data to complete enrollment accurately and promptly.
• Collect payments and obtain necessary signatures.
• Explain hospital policies and services to patients and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
