Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a friendly Registration specialist in Medical Imaging to greet and orient patients and visitors. You will interview patients to gather demographic and financial information for accurate registration and handle payments with care.

You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to explain policies and assist patients in navigating the healthcare system, while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree preferred. Formal training in medical terminology, hospital finance and customer relations a plus.
• Previous admission/registration experience or frontline customer contact experience in a hospital setting; strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of insurance finances (HMO/PPO) and ability to explain healthcare access; 50 WPM typing and 10-key use; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service in greeting and orienting patients and visitors.
• Interview patients for demographic and financial data to complete registration promptly.
• Collect payments, obtain signatures, and inform patients of hospital policies; perform other duties as assigned.
