Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Medical Business Specialist (Receptionist) for a full-time day schedule. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, greet them professionally, and verify insurance information.

You will schedule appointments, enter data into the registration system, and support a compassionate care experience across our award-winning facilities.

A $2,700 sign-on bonus is offered; health benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience.
• Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.
• Associate Degree Preferred.
• Two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or similar healthcare role.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients and families.
• Obtain/verify all required patient and insurance information and enter the information into the registration system accurately.
• Schedule patient appointments including return visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing."
• Greet patients professionally in person and over the telephone and respond effectively to patients and families.
