Job summary

Sanford Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Patient Access Representative (PAR) to support patient registration and scheduling within a 24/7 department. The PAR may perform registration or scheduling duties, with additional tasks assigned based on location and needs.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, verifying demographics, creating electronic files, collecting payments, and coordinating referrals and pre-authorizations. Strong customer service and confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Post-secondary education helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/residents and verify demographics to register and/or schedule.
• Create electronic files and route necessary forms and documents.
• Explain paperwork to patients and collect signatures and payments.
• Manage registration and scheduling workflows, including insurance and financial arrangements.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-authorization and interpreter services as needed.
• Support recall, waitlists and follow-up as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.
