Qualifications

• 1 year in a healthcare related field and knowledge of medical terminology, or experience in scheduling and/or registration in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with customers.
• Answers telephone calls and voicemails.
• Directs information to appropriate staff.
• Orients patients to the department with directions and instructions.
• Maintenance of patient charts; assists in imaging support duties when needed; transfers calls; prepares patients for exams.
• Performs scheduling for procedures and tracks no-shows; communicates with physicians as needed.
• Performs registration duties: initial registration, electronic records, signatures, insurance coordination, and deposits.
