The PSS will be the first point of contact for patients, requiring strong communication and organizational skills, attention to privacy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with a calm demeanor.

Qualifications

• Greet patients and guests courteously and check them in/out.
• Answer calls with clinic name/identifier and route transfers as needed.
• Maintain organized reception area and professional appearance.
• Assist with scheduling and preparing patient charts for visits.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests upon arrival; verify status and communicate wait times.
• Respond to calls with standard greeting and transfer callers as appropriate.
• Maintain privacy and sign-in accuracy; organize and prepare patient charts for visits.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile daily cash batches with proper documentation.
• Process medical records requests and ensure correct charting in the system.
• Scan insurance cards and categorize primary/secondary/tertiary as needed.
• Provide direction and assistance to patients and visitors as required.
