Sanford Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative in Spearfish, SD. You will be the first point of contact, delivering outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming environment, whether on the phone or in person at the clinic.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling documents, scheduling, and assisting with financial arrangements. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, relevant experience, and basic medical terminology familiarity.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
• Medical terminology helpful; customer service skills essential.
• May require BLS for certain locations.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and verify demographics.
• Create, scan and route documents or forms.
• Inform patients about documents and capture signatures.
• Establish and assign financial responsibility and assist with policies.
• Collect co-payments and payments on account balances.
• Address registration errors or denied insurance claims.
• Schedule appointments with nursing team and providers.
• Obtain referrals and conduct pre-authorization; arrange interpreter services.
• Check patients in/out; operate multi-line phone.
• Manage recalls, waitlists, and paging providers.
• Coordinate charts and patient financial assistance.
• Track visits and health information on accounts.
• Coordinate telemedicine appointments and reminders.
• General office duties like copying or sending faxes.
