Job summary

Springfield Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Specialist (PAS) to serve as the welcoming heart of the building. You will handle calls, check-in, verify patient data and insurance, enroll patients in FMH, collect payments, and schedule providers with accuracy.

You will work with Care Team members to ensure smooth guest flow, data integrity, and a high level of service. A CMAA pathway may be available within one year and performance standards drive daily balancing and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a medical office preferred.
• Comfortable with technology and using computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, identify caller needs, route to appropriate area and take messages.
• Assist guests with check-in, verify demographic and insurance information, update records as needed.
• Assist guests in enrolling in the FollowMyHealth portal and educate them on portal usage.
• Collect patient payments and provide receipts; reconcile cash and balancing forms.
• Schedule provider appointments, balance capacity, and maximize schedule utilization.
• Document guest requests in the Care Team via EHR; use system reports for providers.
