Springfield Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Specialist (PAS) to be the welcoming entry point for guests and their families. The PAS will handle calls, verify patient information, scheduling, and payments, contributing to a smooth flow of care and high data integrity.

This role supports on-site operations, collaborates with Care Team members, and enhances the patient experience. Applicants should have basic tech skills and prior medical office exposure where possible.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Comfortable with technology and basic computer tasks.
• 2–3 years of college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, identify caller needs, route to appropriate area and take messages.
• Assist guests with check-in, verify demographic and insurance information, update records as needed.
• Educate guests on FollowMyHealth portal and how to use it.
• Collect patient payments and provide receipts; balance cash receipts as required.
• Schedule provider appointments and manage availability to maximize efficiency.
• Document guest requests in the Care Team’s EHR and coordinate with departments.
