Responsibilities

• Register patients and complete full registration for appointments with attention to detail.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure accurate demographic and insurance data.
• Verify insurance information and benefits; confirm referrals when required.
• Obtain IDs and insurance cards; validate patient identity and coverage.
• Adhere to HIPAA and protect patient privacy.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through the care process.
• Provide appointment and payment policy information to patients.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and establish payment plans.
• Inform patients of financial obligations and collect payments.
• Act as liaison among patients, physicians, and staff to resolve issues.
• Notify staff of appointment times, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Train other PSR staff and maintain high customer service standards.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
