Cardiovascular Institute of the South is seeking a patient-focused operator to join our Lafayette, LA location. You will manage a multi-line switchboard, directing calls and coordinating patient communications within the clinic management system.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, diagnostics, and lab visits, ensuring accurate EMR documentation, and maintaining smooth information flow between patients and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better.
• Experience using a multi-line phone system.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to multitask.
• Detail-oriented and able to document and route messages accurately in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Operate a multi-line switchboard to manage incoming calls.
• Schedule patient appointments, diagnostics, and lab visits using clinic templates.
• Support patient care and communication flow through efficient call handling and accurate documentation.
• Document communications and route messages to clinical teams.
