Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and secretarial support for the Physician Practice.
• Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information and facilitate scheduling.
• Process telephone calls and messages promptly and courteously.
• Follow department guidelines for triage and scheduling of patients.
• Enter patient information into the billing system and code visits.
• Coordinate referrals and authorizations to support patient care.
• Assist in maintaining department costs and improving efficiency.
• Act as a patient advocate and mentor to new hires.
