Job summary

The University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients and families. You will verify demographics, insurance, and payment information, assist with scheduling, and support the care team to streamline patient processing.

You will enroll patients in MyChart, handle EPIC work queues, collect copays, and ensure PHI compliance while contributing to high-quality service and revenue cycle performance across UH.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for medical visits.
• Answer phone inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with enrolling and utilizing MyChart.
• Enter and validate patient demographic, insurance, and payment information.
• Work EPIC queues, worklists, and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
• Ensure accurate document scanning into EPIC.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and collaborate with care teams.
