Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts (ICD-10 and CPT preferred).
• Ability to interpret insurance information and benefit coverage.
• Working knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients and families, ensuring a positive and professional experience
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Schedule appointments, including MRI scheduling, in a timely and accurate manner
• Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately
