Job summary

Cherry Health is seeking a Specialist, Patient Registration to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our Montcalm Area Health Center. You will verify insurance, collect documentation, schedule appointments, and assist with billing and patient inquiries.

This full-time, onsite role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and multitasking in a busy healthcare setting. Occasional travel to other Cherry Health clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting with EHR systems is desirable.
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred where applicable.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and collect necessary documentation, including insurance details.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required signatures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Process payments and bill patient accounts.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with data reporting.
• Perform general office duties and manage supplies.
• Participate in required training including CPR and safety procedures.
• Support patients with inquiries and coordinate with clinical staff.
