Job summary

Responsibilities include handling insurance verification, referrals, and patient inquiries, coordinating schedules with providers, and collecting payments. Strong MS Office and EMR proficiency are required; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years of related experience in customer service, patient access, medical office, or administrative operations.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English or Creole/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient access operations including registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and patient flow.
• Schedules patient appointments and manages provider schedules to maintain efficient clinic flow.
• Verifies insurance eligibility, processes referrals and authorizations, and ensures required documentation is complete.
• Collects patient payments and assists with patient account management including payment plans.
• Enters and updates patient data in EMR and billing systems to ensure accuracy.
• Responds to patient inquiries and provides high-quality customer service while adhering to HIPAA policies.
