Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a Patient Access professional to collect demographic and insurance data, secure authorizations, and schedule appointments across our system. This role operates in a high-volume call-center setting with goals around accuracy, productivity, and exceptional patient service.

The incumbent will be responsible for understanding insurance requirements, Baptist Health pricing, and financial assistance options while upholding HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Pass the Patient Access training course.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
• Basic mathematical calculations are required.
• Detail oriented, organized, team player with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information, including authorizations/referrals/notifications.
• Schedule patients' appointments/procedures (initial, follow-up, add-on).
• Work in a call center type environment and meet quality metrics (productivity, accuracy, customer service QA).
• Coordinate patient flow, process timely actions, and address questions or concerns.
