Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to greet patients, manage registrations, and handle phone inquiries. You will assist with timely scheduling, verify insurance details, and ensure accurate data entry for patient records.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong organization, and experience with EHR and practice management systems. On-site work with occasional satellite office coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Experience with EHR and practice management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, patients, and families professionally and direct them appropriately.
• Maintain efficient patient flow during registration and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer phone calls promptly and route to the appropriate person with proper etiquette.
• Inform patients of delays and assist with patient comfort while waiting.
• Process self-pay charges, collect payments, and provide receipts; reconcile daily payments.
