Job summary

PRISM Vision Group is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Retina Group of Washington in Fairfax, VA. This onsite role handles patient interactions, scheduling, registrations, and basic revenue cycle tasks to support clinicians and patients.

You will assist with insurance verification, pre-registration and financial counseling while ensuring accuracy and privacy in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communications in English; bilingual a plus.
Strong customer service, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
Cash management and numerical accuracy is required.
Ability to work with physicians, staff and patients from diverse backgrounds.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and multiple electronic systems.

Responsibilities

Schedule and complete registrations for appointments with accuracy and policy adherence.
Initiate pre-registration ensuring demographic and insurance data is up to date.
Verify insurance, benefits and referrals; collect applicable payments.
Provide upfront financial counseling and discuss payment plans.
Coordinate patient flow and liaise with physicians and staff to ensure care.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy throughout processes.
