Qualifications

• High School Equivalent / GED (Required).
• Associate's Degree (Preferred).
• 2+ years Healthcare or customer service (Required).
• Exceptional communication skills with patients and providers (Required).
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple responsibilities (Required).

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment.
• Enter and validate demographic, insurance, and financial data.
• Communicate information to the care team and coordinate referrals.
• May contact insurers regarding coverage and billing issues.
• Collect and process patient payments for copays, coinsurance, deductibles.
• Assist with completion of paperwork and forms.
• Work EPIC work queues and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
• Scan documents into EPIC accurately.
• Support new hire orientation and training.
• Identify process improvements and workflows.
• Exceeds team productivity and quality standards.
• May cross-train as a Provider Administrative Assistant.
