Qualifications

• One year of experience in scheduling or patient access in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Experience with insurance verifications and payer communications is beneficial.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Knowledge of commercial and managed care payors and terminology is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for consultations, procedures and/or tests.
• Enter patient demographic and insurance information and charges.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-certification/authorization as required.
• Maintain smooth patient flow and professional customer service during peak times.
