Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) seeks a Registrar Scheduler to manage patient flow by scheduling, registering, and greeting patients in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities include collecting demographic and insurance data, entering charges, verifying coverage, obtaining pre-certifications, and supporting accurate billing. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to communicate with diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Ability to deal tactfully with associates, patients, visitors and the general public.
• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills required.

• Knowledge of commercial and managed care payors and terminology.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance plan requirements.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.

Responsibilities
