Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, GA seeks a patient access scheduler who pre-registers and schedules appointments, procedures, tests, and other services in a timely, professional manner. You will answer calls, manage follow-up and referral queues, and coordinate with patient care teams to ensure efficient care.

You will complete patient checkout, schedule follow-ups per physician orders, and provide cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming appointments.

Qualifications

• Previous patient access representative or scheduling experience preferred
• Proficiently and accurately enters data into the permanent electronic health record while talking with patients
• Works as part of a care team to provide optimum customer service and clinical outcomes
• Handles incoming calls, follow-up and referral work queues, ticket scheduling
• Coordinates scheduling of services for patients including ancillary and procedure scheduling

Responsibilities
