Responsibilities

• Places reminder calls to patients regarding scheduled appointments.
• Schedules appointments accurately and completes pre-registrations including insurance verification.
• Answers the dedicated phone line for Centralized Scheduling.
• Returns all voice mails within 24 hours.
• Handles urgent calls and faxes immediately with guidance from physicians or management.
• Makes appointments from calls and provider referrals; reschedules and cancels as needed.
• Coordinates multiple appointments and maintains accurate scheduling records.
• Provides patient/customer service and guidance prior to appointments as directed.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and records demographic changes in the system.
• Ensures physician orders are linked to appointments and entered into the electronic record.
