Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) for the Tri-County Primary Care physician offices. You will be the first point of contact, handling patient registration, demographics verification, insurance card collection, and chart accuracy to ensure smooth patient flow.

This role emphasizes excellent customer service, scheduling, and basic financial processing, with potential coverage of other practice locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Schedules appointments, transcribes orders, and updates patient demographics and records.
• Explains financial options to patients and collects patient payments.
• Processes admission paperwork and verifies insurance information.
• Assists with referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications when applicable.
• Reconciles cash drawer and handles daily financial responsibilities.
