Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in a patient-facing healthcare or customer service role preferred.
• Bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete full registration for patients requesting appointments with adherence to scheduling policies.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure demographic and insurance data is up to date.
• Verify insurance information, benefits, and referral details.
• Obtain and verify ID and insurance cards to confirm patient identity and coverage.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through the clinical care process.
• Provide patients with information about appointments and payment policies.
• Provide upfront financial counseling at check-in and discuss payment options.
• Explain financial obligations and collect funds per guidelines.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve care-related issues.
• Notify relevant parties of appointment details, referrals, and authorization requirements.
• Train other PSR staff and maintain high customer service standards.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.
