Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Graduate of a certified medical office training course.
• Experience: Customer service, administrative 6 months medical office.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through registration, verify demographics and insurance for accurate payment processing and billing.
• Collect and post co-pays, process payments, and review records for bad debt per protocols.
• Adhere to No Surprise Act and maintain accurate cash drawer; prepare daily deposits and close procedures.
• Follow scheduling guidelines for single clinic and manage referrals/ testing appointments.
• Handle calls, messages, voice mail and emails; coordinate follow-up as needed; obtain pre-certifications and notify pre-cert coordinator.
• Create a positive guest experience through Steps of Service; provide general clerical support including paperwork, records, faxes, scans, filing, and new patient packets.
• Enforce no-show policy, send letters and documents for no-shows; perform other duties as assigned.
