Job summary

Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers is seeking a Patient Representative I in a clerical role within the Patient Services department. Under Site Coordinator supervision, you will greet patients, collect demographics and insurance data, and help schedule appointments.

This role emphasizes accurate EMR documentation, confidentiality, and teamwork, with potential travel to other CRCHC locations and occasional weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• One year or less of clerical experience in an office setting.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong basic computer skills.
• Must maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-quality customer service to patients, staff, board members, providers, and vendors.
• Know chain of command and direct supervisor information.
• Reports on time and checks schedule and organizes patient flow.
• Obtains payment information and creates claims for reimbursement.
• Know required screening forms for UDS and other QI.
• Maintains accurate documentation and registration updates in EMR.
• Adheres to scheduling protocol for all appointment types.
• Explain the sliding scale program and process its application.
